Court Lodge, Gravesham
Landscape Character Area, and Conservation Area adjacent - Extensions & Renovation
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Large ground floor extension with vaulted ceilings in the Shorne Woods Landscape Character Area, and Conservation Area adjacent. The area of extension is north facing, which means that ensuring light enters the new space (and importantly into the original house) is more difficult. This extension is designed as a pair of linked gable elements that extrude out into the garden. This enables rooflights facing both West and East, capturing morning and afternoon/evening light. This greatly enhances the light in the house.
